Boise State Student Voted 2nd in the Nation For Red Bull Paper Wings 2019

Local student Robby Davis is headed to Austria to compete with paper airplanes

2019 is Red Bull’s fifth installment of its world famous paper airplane competition. Open to university students, the winners are judged based on the three most relevant facets of a true paper airplane craftsman and pilot: distance, airtime, and aerobatics.

This year, the aerobatics portion was judged entirely online. Applicants were asked to submit a video on Instagram of their best paper airplane tricks in action.

Boise’s very own Robby Davis was voted #2 in the entire nation for his video.

May 15th Robby Davis flies over to Hangar 7 in Austria, all expenses paid, to represent Boise State, Idaho, and the U.S. in the Red Bull Paper Wings 2019 finals. If he wins, he and the other winners will receive a Red Bull Air Race Weekend Experience which includes everything from flights and hotels, to pilot meet & greets, to full passes for the race, and other great VIP experiences.

We will follow up with Robby when the final scores are tallied. Until then, give his video a view and show this uniquely talented Idahoan some support.
