Guided Watercolor – One-day watercolor classes with guidance and support!
May 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
All classes are 1:00-3:30pm – $25 – ages 18+
This intermediate watercolor class is perfect for anyone with some previous watercolor experience and a desire to advance their skills. You’ll learn about wet-on-wet painting, controlled painting, and layering, plus how to apply salt and rubbing alcohol to achieve different effects. You’ll walk away with a handful of new techniques to apply to your future paintings, with step-by-step guidance along the way, while being encouraged to create your own design. Professional artist and former Quality Art instructor, Polly Barrett, will be your guide. Polly teaches in a stress-free and fun way and incorporates a wide variety of styles and subject matter. Each class day will focus on a different theme and you’ll paint along with the group, learning as you go.
Ages 18 and up are welcome. Please bring your own watercolor painting supplies and paint with you. We will have some supplies on hand if you need something, as well.
Optional items to bring:
– Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the building
– Bottled water/beverage
