“Slings and Arrows” Annual Gala by the Boise Bard Players
February 25 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
You are cordially invited to The Boise Bard Players’ “Slings & Arrows” Annual Fundraiser Gala on February 25th at Mad Swede (Cole Rd.) for a night of Shakespearean love and scorn.
Whether you’ve been hit by Cupid’s arrow, or you are struggling with “the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,” the BBP gala is a chance to show a different kind of love… By funding the performing arts!
Come party with us as we raise the $67,000 needed to fund our 2023 season. Our goal for the season is to quadruple our artist stipends and keep our local talent local.
Whether you are lucky in love or fortune’s fool, there is something for everyone. Catered light refreshments, “Mad” great beer, fun activities, and delightful company will round out the evening that no one should miss.
Have your love fortune read, win a bottle of wine in the wine toss, and participate in other activities during our cocktail hour.
Listen to renowned storyteller and BBP actor, Ben Kemper, as he tells an original story composed just for this event.
Bid in The Boise Bard Players’ first-ever live auction, hosted by professional auctioneer Kevin Troutt.
Vote for the player who must imbibe before acting in a short “Drunk Shakespeare” performance.
Rub elbows with other members of the performing arts community.
The Boise Bard Players’ mission is to take Shakespeare and other classics off their pedestals and make them emotionally and economically accessible to all. But, to believe in and celebrate the classical themes of humanity, we must celebrate the people that make it possible for us to do so. This party is for you.
