Events to End the Summer and Start the Fall

Summer may be winding down, but these great events keep its spirit alive
Boise Marathon

It’s finally September, school has been going for a week or two, and soon enough the air will chill and the colors outside will change. It’s time to bid a fond farewell to the hot weather with some last minute Summer events and welcome in Fall with some concerts, festivals, and marathons.

Sept 14th

In Twin Falls – KONGOS – The world famous alt rock band KONGOS is making an appearance in Twin Falls. This is a great opportunity to see this band up close and personal in south Idaho. Tickets are on sale now, so get yours and Go! get your fill of some rock and roll before Summer wraps up completely.

In Eagle – Spring Valley Country Music Stomp – This awesome country music festival is the best place to close out all the gorgeous Summer evenings in Idaho. Grab your friends and family and head out to the Eagle Rodeo Grounds to make this country music fest an Idaho tradition. Local acts as well as some big names in the country scene will be puting on their best performances. Gates open at 12:00 pm. Get your tickets here.

Sept 21st

September Swing – This is one dance party you don’t want to miss. Go! Down to the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa to swing, jump, and jive the night away in celebration of its 30th Anniversary. There will be food, drinks, dance lessons, and more! Come dressed in your best 1940s era attire and you just might win the best dressed contest. Funds from this event help support the Warhawk Air Museum’s 9/11 Hangar Expansion Project. Get your tickets now!

Old Boise Oktoberfest – Join Old Boise for its Oktoberfest beer bash on Saturday the 28th of September, from 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. German style beer, great food, live music, fun games, and dancing make this event a must Go! Enter here to win a pass, beer mug, and drink tickets to 2019’s Old Boise Oktoberfest.

Twin Falls Oktoberfest – Twin Falls knows how to party! Their Oktoberfest is a two day event with the usual booths with vendors, live music, dancing, and great food, but they also set themselves apart with a chalk art contest, petting zoo, and more! If you want to do Oktoberfest right, you have to Go! Down to Oktoberfest in Twin Falls.

Grilled Cheese Festival – This festival is going to be a fun one. The Grilled Cheese Festival is a chance for the classic sandwich fans to sample a vast array of gourmet grilled cheese recipes and all kinds of beers on tap. Get tickets while you still can! Follow the event page to get more info on the restaurants and vendors that are added as the festival day approaches.

Oct 27th

Boise Marathon – This race has become a Boise tradition but goes by a new name. Formerly known as the Onward Shay, this fun run offers a full marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k, and a kid’s run. The race starts at Payette Brewing in Boise, anyone who registers to run gets a free pass to Twin Oaks’ Halloweenland. Check out all the great sponsors who help make this family friendly athletic event so much fun.
