We know a new school year is right around the corner, but summer’s not quite over yet! We’ve rounded up a list of free activities that will get you and your family up and out of the house, to enjoy what’s left of summer!
The Herrett Center
The Herrett Center at the College of Southern Idaho, is one of the best places to escape these hot temperatures, and still get your kids off the couch! With exhibits ranging from dinosaurs to reptiles, and aliens to ancient artifacts, your family is guaranteed a fun and educational afternoon!
Twin Falls Downtown Farmer’s Market
The Twin Falls Downtown Farmer’s Market truly has something for everyone! On Saturday August 17th, The Children’s Museum of the Magic Valley will be hosting an interactive exhibit that you do not want to miss! Bring the kids out for a morning of imagination and discovery as they explore the Science of Sound exhibit.
First Federal Bank Park
A family favorite here in the Magic Valley, is the First Federal Bank Park located at Sunway Soccer Complex. Complete with a full playground, a shaded pavilion for the parents, and a unique water attraction, it’s easily one of the best places to enjoy an afternoon of sun! Though the park is open year round, the water attraction only runs until September, so make sure to head out and enjoy it while you can!
Canyon Rim Trail
One of our favorite places to GO! out and stay active in the Magic Valley, is the Canyon Rim Trail! This 7.6 mile paved trail is the perfect place for an evening walk or bike ride with the family. Spanning all the way from Shoshone Falls to Elevation 486, it’s the best way to view some of Twin Falls’ most coveted attractions such as The Perrine Bridge, Pillar Falls, Evel Knievel’s jump site, and of course the Snake River Canyon.
Don’t let these last week’s of summer go to waste. GO! out and enjoy free family fun in the Magic Valley!
