Go Out Local: Undies Style
The Cupid’s Undie Run, a charitable fundraiser that encourages you to party in your undies, is coming to the streets of downtown Boise!
Every February, many people across the country gather together to run in support of those who suffer from neurofibromatosis (NF). NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. It all began in 2010 when a group of patrons dropped their pants and ran through the cold in their undies in DC in solidarity with those who have NF, and can’t cover their tumors. Since then, the Cupid’s Undie Run has raised over $21,700,000 and ALL the proceeds from the runs go to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF).
The Cupid Undie Run will be hosted at Tom Grainey’s, located on 109 S. 6th St in downtown Boise, on February 12th. It will begin with drinks and dancing at 12 pm, followed by a mile(ish) jog at 2 pm, and then from 2:15 pm to 4 pm back again to Tom Grainey’s for a dance party! If wearing undies in public is not for you, no worries! Just get creative and wear a tutu, costume, or onesie!
You can join by running solo, in a group, or even joining virtually and running from where you are! You can register at cupids.org for $45 to participate, and you are not limited to how much more you would like to donate.
Get in your favorite undies and Go Out Local to support this fundraising event!
