Floating the Boise River

Boise is always booming with a ton of really cool activities. Check out our events calendar with a huge variety of awesome activities to choose from when you GO! out local.

  • River Float

What says Boise more than floating the river during the summertime? It’s relatively cheap and easy to do, and there are very few activities like it anywhere. Over 100,000 people do it every summer, which is nearly half the population of the City of Trees. Half the population can’t be wrong, can they? This is a seasonal activity, so before you GO!, be sure to check to assure the Ada County Parks and Waterways authorities have declared the river safe to float. Take your visitors on the most definitively Boise adventure available.

  • Table Rock

Another iconic Boise activity, the hike to Table Rock isn’t just a stroll.  This is a trek up an enormous hill with more than 15 trails, many of which are challenging and physically taxing. Completing trails here is an unofficial athletics rite of passage for the people of Boise. If your visitor is an adventurer, GO! own the trails out at Table Rock.

  • The Village

The Village at Meridian is one place you could GO! to relax after a hot day of hiking. Take part in the finer things in life and have a dinner and drinks at the Backstage Bistro before going to the movie theater seats you’ve reserved. No time for a movie? There are plenty of eateries, pubs, shops & boutiques, even a great dessert shop selection. Take a look at the full list. The beautiful fountains feature light shows after sunset, and most weekends hosts live music and fun events.
