Very soon the phases of Gov. Little’s plan to reopen Idaho will come and go and our world will hopefully return to normal (but what is normal, really?). Restaurants are poised to open their dining rooms in the next few days, but at reduced capacity and with social distancing requirements. Bars won’t be able to open at all until mid-June.
All the following places have delivery and pick up options right now, but we just can’t wait to see them reopen completely so we can finally chill freely with our friends and family again at all of our favorite spots. Check them out.
One of the Treasure Valley’s best pizza makers is getting ready to reopen their dining rooms and bars for everyone to enjoy again. For now, you can still get their delicious pizzas, pastas, burgers, and beer delivered, or brought to your vehicle for curbside pickup, but once they reopen again, it will be nice to be able to bring the family to eat somewhere outside the house.
Of the options around that serve sandwiches, soups, and salads, Cobby’s beats all the competition, hands down. The best lunchtime fare around, we are dreaming of the day we can dive into a sandwich without needing to have it delivered.
The weather for the next little while is probably going to be the best we will see all year. Not the scorching heat of July and August, and not the chilly wet of March and April. This is the perfect time of year to Go! enjoy a drink on one of Boise’s best patios. Find Sandbar Patio Bar & Grill at the Riverside Hotel in Boise. We look forward to seeing them open mid-May.
While all their locations serve awesome food, the Chicago Connection downtown on 4th street has one of the best patios for warm spring nights. In a couple of weeks e will be able to take the kids out or have a round of draft beer with your favorite crew at Chicago Connection.
The whiskey selection of this main street hot spot is more than impressive. We can’t wait to Go! have a glass of fine whiskey! Anything under $10 is half off during Whiskey Bar’s happy hour. They will make you any whiskey drink imaginable, from an old fashioned to the West 509. This is one of our favorite spots in downtown Boise, generally, and we are looking forward to a toast when they are finally open again.
Breweries and beer houses at large (except for maybe one) are currently under lock-down and will not likely re-open until June 13th. Payette Brewing is one such beer house we love and want to see opened up as soon as possible. With a ton of original, tasty beers on tap, and a great outdoor patio for small groups, this is one beerhouse that we expect will see a line of people waiting outside their doors in June.
The mornings are always better with fresh coffee and surprisingly healthy donuts made with local ingredients. We like to get ours on the way in the office when the donuts are nice and warm right out of the oven. Our mouths are watering over our need to Go! nom on some Guru Donuts.
Are you like all of us here at Go Out Local, waiting with bated breath to see all our favorite eateries and bars reopen? Then give these iconic Boise businesses a follow and stay tuned for when their doors will finally be unlocked.
