Idaho has far more current celebrities to add fame to the state’s name. Check out Idaho’s rising star of racing, 17-year-old Sting Ray Robb.
Young Robb started in American and European kart racing, dominating the national and international circuits. At 11-years-old, he was named America’s #1 Mini Max Driver. It was 2016 before he had grown old enough, and tall enough, to move up to racing cars.
Right out of the gate, Robb earned Rookie of the Year, and several other honors including six total podiums, and one fastest lap in 10 races. Just last year he got his first series podium at Indianapolis and set a new race lap record at St. Petersburg, Florida.
With an impressive career already achieved, Robb continues to rack up successes with Junco’s Racing team, competing in the 2019 Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.
Sting Ray Robb stands in third place with a total of 121 points. June 20th he heads to Wisconsin for Rounds 6/7, midway through the season.
Join GO! Out Local, and all of Sting Ray Robb’s proud, local sponsors, in supporting this Idaho legend as he climbs the ladder of success in the Indy car racing world, putting his proud state on the map.
