Born in Sun Valley, Idaho, Isabella Boylston has risen through the ranks to become the American Ballet Theater’s Principal Dancer.
Isabella has been dancing since she was three years old. She says that the mixed influence of her family’s affinity for music as well as the outdoors had a major effect on her choice to go into ballet.
Since her early start in ballet, Isabella has earned the Princess Grace Award, and has appeared in some of the most renowned ballets in history, including The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet. She has also had her hand involved in designing some of the costumes for a number of ballet productions put on by various troupes.
She’s even had experience in Hollywood, appearing as the dance double in place of Jennifer Lawrence for the 2018 film Red Sparrow. In 2017, she honored her home state when she brought the world’s best ballet troupe from the American Ballet Theater in New York to perform a world premiere at the Sun Valley Pavilion.
