The Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise once again hosts the Idaho Horror Film Festival, October 17th, 18th, & 19th.
The folks running the IHFF are looking forward to an excellent show this year. The Department of Arts & History has awarded a grant to the IHFF for the Fiscal Year of 2019, finding their efforts to be among the best and most influential in helping Idaho’s art and culture scene thrive.
If you’ve never been to the Idaho Horror Film Festival before, make 2019 the year it becomes your Halloween season tradition. The IHFF showcases some of the most innovative and creative contemporary independent films, hosting filmmakers from all across the globe.
Plus, they have their own beer, carefully crafted by the Boisean brewers known as Woodland Empire. They gave this special beer the affectionate name of “Draculager”.
The IHFF is not just a gathering to watch horror movies one after the other. In addition to their 60+ short films, there are plenty of other events including discussion panels, special guests, horror trivia games, a Flash Fiction Competition, a horror poetry slam, and many more fun, horror themed programs.
The Idaho Horror Film Festival is proud to have Satanic Panic by filmmaker Chelsea Stardust as the special feature film this year.
In addition to the grants by the Idaho Department of Arts & History, the IHFF would like to thank all their generous sponsors. The entire festival and all its activities would not be possible without the help and passion given by these fine folks.
