KONGOS come to Twin Falls

Hear the band right on the Snake River in view of Perrine Bridge

KONGOS are an indie band of brothers who hail from Phoenix. They spent some time growing up in the UK and South Africa where their father wrote songs that topped the charts back in the 70s.

In 2011 they had a radio hit in South Africa called “I’m Only Joking,” which launched them into a new section of popularity they had never seen before. Up until this time, they had been running everything themselves from recording and producing to touring and management. Since they have had the room and help to grow, they have released landmark rock recordings and have gained a massive, popular following.

KONGOS play alternative/rock music featuring several kinds of instruments, heavily distorted guitar work, a driving rhythm section, and crystalline vocals. They have a modern sound with electronic samples and layers intermixed with a more classic instrumental sound.  Some of their music can be light playful, and soothing, while other songs are harsh and heavy.

Don’t miss your chance to see these musical pioneers offer a spectacular performance in Twin Falls on the 14th of September. Go! get your tickets here!
